Job Summary: As the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) you will be responsible for overseeing the investment strategies, portfolio management, and overall financial performance of the company. You will lead a team of investment professionals, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, optimizing investment returns, and maintaining a strong understanding of the share market, SEBON, and NEPSE regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with the company's goals and risk tolerance.
- Lead the investment team in conducting thorough market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities.
- Manage and monitor investment portfolios to optimize performance and mitigate risks.
- Stay updated on market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with SEBON and NEPSE regulations and policies, maintaining the company's adherence to legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with senior management to make informed financial decisions that align with the company's growth objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to investment analysts, traders, and other team members.
- Cultivate relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to enhance the company's reputation and business opportunities.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on investment performance, market trends, and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of portfolio management experience in a similar role within an Investment company or securities company.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the share market, SEBON, and NEPSE regulations and policies.
- Familiarity with accounting practices and financial reporting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree/Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or equivalent.
